TPE and TPU can be mixed. The main substrates of TPE materials are SEBS and SBS, which are somewhat different from TPU (polyurethane). More or less will affect the performance of the product. It is recommended to mix under the manufacturer's guidance.

TPU material is a kind of high wear-resistant material, but it also has disadvantages, that is, it is difficult to form, easy to stick to the mold, generate bubbles and shrinkage, and a certain proportion of TPE material can improve the above problems, but the wear resistance effect will be reduced. TPU refers to thermoplastic polyurethane, also called polyurethane, which has two types: polyester type and polyether type.

TPE material is modified based on SEBS. Blended by SEBS/SBS+PP+naphthenic oil+calcium carbonate+additives, it is also called environmentally friendly soft plastic in the industry. TPE material is a kind of thermoplastic elastomer material, which has the characteristics of high strength, high resilience, injection molding process, a wide range of applications, environmental protection, non-toxic and safe, and excellent coloring. It can be used to enhance and toughen plastics. The self-reinforcing property is large, the formula is simplified, the influence of the compounding agent on the polymer is small, and the quality performance is easier to grasp. However, the heat resistance of TPE is not as good as that of rubber, and its physical properties decrease greatly as the temperature rises, so the scope of application is limited.
